From the first days of war is the subject of movies, when DW Griffith made a controversial film “One Nation” was born. Many filmmakers are wars and conflicts in stories that make great cinema. Over recent decades, some of the most memorable films about the war, among them is my personal favorite here is the list:

1st Private Ryan (1998 Saving)
Words, this film justice, certainly the first 15 minutes of film history may also exist. Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Hanks, Saving Private Ryan, manages some of the realistic and violent fight scenes ever filmed features. This was one of the most popular and influential war movies of all time remains.

2nd Apocalypse Now (1979)
Martin Sheen in 1979 and headed by Francis Ford Coppola Marlon Brando, and to focus on the war are still haunting stories ever filmed. “The Vietnamese Coppola claims that his movie is not about Vietnam.” , Heart of Darkness “, who, with the deep forests of the renegade colonel says that Wade, the film is a strong echo of the novel” offers an unforgettable sound and haunting (“Doors”, and “anchored by).

3rd Deer Hunter (1978)

4th Schindler’s List (1993)

5th Black Hawk Down (2001)
2001 Ridley Scott film: all of the visceral, exciting story and great cast. But the best stories about modern war.
